Tim has managed multi-million dollar portfolios of high-net-worth capital for more than twenty years and been licenced by the Ontario Securities Commission as a Portfolio Manager since 2004. He was also the President and founding partner of Simvest Corporation – the premiere educational investment simulation company throughout North America – which was sold to the Canadian Securities Institute in 2003. The success of Simvest underscores Tim’s profound understanding of the uses and applications of technology as it relates to the investment process, research and client service in the 21st century. Investing is Tim’s passion.

At Logan Wealth Management, Tim performs three key functions; he is the Chief Investment Officer, President, and is in charge of the firm’s special situations analysis and investments for both equity and fixed income.

Tim holds a degree in Economics and Computer Science from McGill University and has also earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

His other passions include spending time with his two children. He is also involved in his high school alumni, Royal St. Georges College, and enjoys organizing events for his class and supporting fundraising efforts for the school. Tim enjoys being a mentor for entrepreneurs, advising a number of small businesses. Tim currently sits on the board of Lomir Biomedical.

Julie has worked in the investment industry for over twenty years. She recently joined Logan Wealth Management from another investment counselling firm at which she was responsible for the management of individual client portfolios as well as the firm’s balanced pooled fund. She is also an active member of the Toronto CFA Society’s Private Wealth Management Committee.

At Logan Wealth Management Julie has overall responsibility for individual portfolio management and for large capitalization equity analysis. In addition, she heads up the firm’s wealth management advisory group.

Julie is a Chartered Financial Analyst as well as a Certified Financial Planner. In her spare time she is busily engaged as a mother, raising her two young children. She is also an avid and enthusiastic walker and cyclist.

Jim has forty years of experience in capital markets with a primary focus on a variety of Fixed Income management services and asset allocation to private and institutional clients and pooled funds. Additionally, he has expertise in North American bond markets, cash management and fixed income portfolio management.

Prior to joining Logan Wealth Management he led the management of all fixed income portfolio management at Canada Trust prior to its merger with the Toronto Dominion Bank. Jim started his career at Wood Gundy Ltd. where he became a bond trader and then fixed income portfolio manager in the investment management department.

At Logan Wealth Management he sits on the Investment Committee and leads the overall fixed income strategy.

Jim has sat on many corporate boards over the years, and is currently the Deputy Chief of the Toronto Fire Service Re-Hab Unit.

Hugh has worked in the fields of investment consulting and investment management for forty years. In the 1970’s he consulted to major pension funds while at Wood Gundy Inc. In the 1980’s he was a partner at Ruggles & Crysdale Inc., an investment management firm that pioneered the use of option strategies in institutional portfolio management in Canada in both equities and fixed income. In the 1990’s he headed up KPMG’s Investment Advisory Services Toronto office which catered to wealthy investors and family offices. Before coming to Logan Wealth Management in 2011, he was a partner at York Investment Strategies, the leading consultant in Canada to institutional funds and family offices on global hedge funds.

Hugh’s considerable experience in many facets of the investment management business makes him well suited for his roles in corporate strategy, marketing and client relations.

Hugh chaired the Aboriginal Investment Trust Conference (2008 – 2012) and is a past member of the Advisory Board for the Niagara Institutional Dialogue (2011 – 2014). He is a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Upper Canada College Foundation and the University of Trinity College, at which he chaired their respective Investment Committees. Presently, he sits on the Board of the Rekai Centres in Toronto and is Chair of the Rekai Charitable Foundation.

Malcolm is a seasoned financial services executive with extensive international investment and management experience. He spent eight years in Nigeria initially as a Technical Advisor to the World Bank Group, mandated to review the financial landscape of the country and to advise the Nigerian Government on ways to rejuvenate their dormant bond market. He continued to work in Nigeria as an investment banker and consultant. As an investment banker he built the global sales and trading operation for UBA Capital, and was responsible for the oversight of UBA Asset Management, UBA Stockbrokers and UBA Insurance Brokers. As a consultant he numbered amongst his clients The Central Bank of Nigeria, The SEC of Nigeria and First Bank of Nigeria

Prior to going to Nigeria, Malcom had a successful career as a bank treasurer and investment counsel in Canada. He developed the first foreign bond fund in the country and sat on the Asset Mix Committee of Laketon Investment Management. While SVP and Treasurer of UBS Canada, Malcolm was a representative on the Bank of Canada hosted Canada Foreign Exchange Committee and has sat on the Fixed Income and Wealth Management Committees of the Toronto chapter of the CFA Society.

At Logan Wealth Management, Malcolm sits on the Executive Committee and Chairs the Investment Committee as well as working on corporate strategy and development.

In addition to his professional activities, Malcolm is the Treasurer and Chair-in-Waiting of the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada and Vice Chair of Lupus Canada.

Aleks has worked in User Experience on award winning products from Microsoft such as Office for Mac & iOS, Windows 7 and Microsoft Surface.

He also has experience in the fast-paced world of a Silicon Valley startup where he worked as a Computer Systems Analyst for social media site Zoosk. There he ensured the quality their Android and iOS apps and well their mobile website.

Aleks is a leading expert in touch interface technologies with work ranging from early touch enabled software at Microsoft and AT&T to creating the first Force Touch trackpad now popularized in Apple’s MacBook and Magic Trackpad 2.

Coming from a background in Psychology and Computer Science, Aleks is dedicated to making technology at Logan Wealth Management clear, powerful and easy to use as he recognizes the importance of technology as it relates to the investment process, research and client service in the 21st century.

Aleks has a Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from York University, a Bachelor’s degree in Computation and Information Science from the University of Guelph as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto.

Aleks loves traveling, tinkering with electronics and, spending time with his wife and twin girls.

Kimberley began her career in the investment business in 1996. She brings over 15 years’ experience as a Portfolio Manager and Wealth Management Professional to the investment management team. Kimberley builds enduring client relationships based on her consistent demonstration of integrity, professional excellence and attentiveness. She is an experienced Portfolio Manager who is responsible for the investment strategy and security selection for each of her client’s portfolios. Her approachability and collaborative style immediately puts you at ease when sharing your personal and financial goals.

Kimberley graduated from Queen’s University in 1996 with an Honours Degree in Economics. She completed her Canadian Investment Manager CIM in 2001. Following a break from the workforce after the birth of her twins, Kimberley completed the Back to Work Initiative for Women in Business at the Rotman School of Management. Kimberley is currently registered with the Ontario Securities Commission as a Portfolio Manager – Associate Advising Representative.

Outside of the office Kimberley enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and their 4 children 12, 9 and 6-year-old twins. Kimberley has also enjoyed the opportunities she has had to be involved in her community whether it be as part of the Young Adult Forum a subsidiary of YPO, as Girl Guide Leader or volunteer for the Junior League of Toronto, North Toronto Mom’s Group, John Wanless School and her children’s hockey teams.

Derry has worked in the financial services industry since completing is A-Levels in England.

He started working for a small financial advisory firm in Brighton, focusing on providing financial solutions for private clients and specializing on working with non-domiciled investors who wanted exposure to the UK property market.

After moving back to London, Derry joined a boutique Investment Manager in The City. There, he worked alongside a senior Investment Advisor helping co-manage and administer the company’s model portfolio, rebalances, trading, security selection and cash management.

Since arriving in Canada Derry has taken and completed, the Canadian Security Course and now plans to start the Chartered Financial Analyst accreditation.

Outside of work Derry enjoys reading history and, with his English background, it’s no surprise that he enjoys playing football for a couple of local, Toronto-based teams.
